Video: Rebecca Rusch's Private Idaho gravel race recap
In the height of summer each year, Idaho Sun Valley hosts ‘the most beautiful gravel race in America’, where professional and amateur riders rub shoulders in this bucket list event. Created by seven-time World Champion and Emmy Award winner Rebecca Rusch, this event was injected with her passion, positivity and energy.

Rebecca has gravitated towards major cycling challenges, including headlining the award-winning documentary Blood Road, riding up Mt. Kilimanjaro, being the first woman to tackle Yosemite’s El Capitan and producing the RPI. Not limited to two-wheeled exploits, Rebecca is the Author of ‘Rusch to Glory’ and has a podcast, ‘Brain Storm’ featuring concussion experts and recovery advice, in which Rebecca can give first-hand experience.
Taking place over four days, the riders can compete in one to three stages with miles ranging from 35 to 50. The final and main stage can be up to 102 miles for those wanting even more of a challenge. With a stage name of ‘Baked Potato,’ surely that’s a no-brainer. The event is a true test of a rider's limits and an opportunity to immerse themselves in the spirit of community and adventure.
The recap, created by California-based Adventure Scout Media, gives an inspirational glimpse of the race. It includes incredible footage, interview snippets, and a few devils here and there.
