WTB reveals new(ish) Exposure gravel and adventure tyre, plus you can now get the Byway in 700c now
WTB has two pieces of tyre news for us today, the first is the launch of new gravel and adventure tyres, the Exposure 30 and 36. The second surrounds the availability of the much-coveted Byway tyre in 700c sizes.

The famed Byway tread pattern made popular by the WTB Byway 650b x 47 Road Plus tire is now available in 700c x 34, 40 and 44 sizes with either black or tan sidewalls for each width.
Added to the range is the Exposure adventure road tire, although these aren't really new either, previously these tyres claimed a place in the 'all-road' category in 700x32c and 34c. Now, WTB says, the all-new Exposure 36 provides even more tire width and volume for increased traction, comfort and suppleness on the roughest sections of any adventurous road ride and you can still get it in a 30c if you'd like.
“It’s incredibly flattering to attend gravel events and see WTB gravel tires as the tires of choice for a majority of gravel enthusiasts,” stated Director of Global OEM Sales Johs Huseby. “We recently launched the Venture 650b x 47 Road Plus tire in two high-volume 700c sizes and immediately began receiving requests for the industry-leading semi-slick Byway tread in 700c sizes. When riders speak, we listen!”
The previously named Exposure 32 and Exposure 34 tyres are still around though, they have been renamed to Expanse 32 and Byway 34, respectively. The treads of these tires have not changed from their original designs.
US prices are named at $59.95, regardless of diameter or width, we are trying to get hold of UK ones but expect them to be similar with retail prices in Europe of 52.25 euros. These new tires will be available in North America and Europe by the end of September 2019.
