Video: Rider Resilience - Overcoming obstacles
If you can find just one thing that makes the excruciatingly bad a little more bearable and the low days brighter, that will be the most important healthy thing you can do for yourself and a positive way to cope when everything is overwhelming. It’s safe to say the majority of us reading this will have turned to the bike as a way of healing, resetting, and recovery at some point in our lives.

Rider Resilience: The Film will encourage and motivate even the ‘hardened souls’ to grab any opportunity and ride their bikes. This edit captures the raw emotions that come with the sport and how going for a pedal is much more than that. It is a tool for keeping our mental health on track, a reason to meet up with friends and put the world to rest right; it’s a liable, constant, happy place where worries can fade into the background, and we can be in the now. We must build mental and physical resilience to overcome the ups and downs that come hand-in-hand with life.
The film delves into the inspiring journeys of Nils Amelinckx (founder of Rider Resilience), Rachael Walker and Sam Rice as they tackle the triumphs and trials of life and mountain biking. Through their unique challenges, each rider showcases remarkable strength and resilience in overcoming adversity.
Nils once said, “Two-wheeled travel is tonic for the soul and scaled appropriately will allow you to keep navigating through any times of hardship”.
