Red Bull Hardline has cemented itself as one of the gnarliest mountain bike races in the world with only the cream of the crop being invited to attempt the course. In fact, it's a huge achievement just to make it down in one piece.
In a real genre crossover, Johnny Walker is renowned for his Hard Enduro efforts after a commendable career in moto trials. Just as Hardline is an exhibition of incredible riding skill for mountain bike athletes, Red Bull Hardline has proven to be equally as daunting to the likes of Johnny. But this challenge isn't just to get down the course, it's to beat Jackson Goldstone's course record of 02:25.52.
“Amid the whirlwind of split-second decisions, I have to balance the choice of getting a good time over the risk of crashing. When the race is going well and the ride feels right, I persist forward, undeterred. But when the race is already a technical challenge, I often pause, steady myself, and prepare to strike anew." - Johnny Walker
