Lauf is looking for UK ambassadors

The Icelandic gravel bike brand Lauf has opened up applications for UK-based gravel ambassadors to demonstrate the diversity of gravel riding - and what its flagship bike, Seigla, can do.
- Gravel bike geometry: everything you need to know
- Gravel bike racing – everything you need to know
- Gravel cycling: Unsupported vs organised gravel events
As Lauf ambassadors, the chosen riders will be able to ride a Seigla for the whole 2023 season as well as receive other benefits. The ambassador programme is open to riders of all ages and from all riding styles. The only requirement is a love for all things gravel. Based on the applications, four riders will be chosen as Lauf Ambassadors.
“Lauf has been sponsoring the grassroots of gravel for years in the USA with events, athletes, and teams. We will keep sponsoring events in the UK like we have in the past but we wanted to make ourselves more visible in the UK gravel scene, so when the idea of a Lauf-sponsored ambassador team came up, we couldn't resist being a part of it and use that opportunity to showcase our new gravel bike, Seigla,” Ólafur Thorarensen, Marketing Manager Lauf Cycling, said.
Lauf launched Seigla in April 2022 as a do-it-all bike, capable of tackling extreme adventures, racing or simply riding your local trails. You can fit a bunch of cargo on the bike and its well-known leaf-sprung fork has clearance for 2.25in tyres. Lauf says Seigla is a bike that can tackle all aspects of UK gravel and that the ambassador program is as much about the journey as it is the destination.
Lauf Cycling currently sponsors several gravel events in the UK, including Lauf Gritfest in Mid Wales and the long-distance Panaracer Dirty Reiver in Kielder Forest.
Applications for the ambassador program are open now and close on 31 January.
