Wildcat Gear this month announced that contrary to a previous announcement, they intend to remain in business continuing to manufacture and retail their own brand of bikepacking luggage and accessories. 

The new CamelBak Podium Dirt Series Chill 21oz (620ml) water bottle is an insulated vessel with a valve cap to keep us mountain bikers from tasting the dirt. There's a new valve and lock out on the cap and it's easier to clean than the last iteration of the top too. 

This week we've been looking at reasonably priced bikepacking kit from Pro, as well as some more parts for our gravel build, this time hover bars from Specialized. There's also been a drop of Marin bikes at the office, with a carbon adventure bike and a hardtail for under £500. Dig in...

This week we've broken back into our shed, tested geat budget bikes and have also got excited about heading to the NEC cycle show tomorrow! There's a load of cool gear in on test too with Frame Juice from Juice Lubes, new mountian bike gear from ASSOS, a rear seat pack you ca use with a dropper post from Tailfin and a power meter from Team Zwatt. 

Pirelli launch new gravel and cyclocross specific tyres, the Cinturato™ Cross and Cinturato™ Gravel. Both have tread patterns derived from the brands Scorpion mountain bike tyres and the puncture protection of the super reinforced Cinturato™ Velo road tyre. 

WTB has two pieces of tyre news for us today, the first is the launch of new gravel and adventure tyres, the Exposure 30 and 36. The second surrounds the availability of the much-coveted Byway tyre in 700c sizes.

We've been teasing you about the new Ribble HT Ti for a while now, we took a sneak peak at the bike back in March as Ribble announced its move into the mountain bike world. The titanium trail bike was then officially announced in July and we are now one of the first publications to get out hands on one to test. 

The Gloworm XSV is a seriously bright headlight that's easy to use, includes a useful wireless remote and offers tuneable optics. At £289 its power to price ratio is high, but while the battery gives good runtimes it's not without issues for frame mounting and fuel-level feedback.

Trek has just launched a new cross-country bike that is quite significantly different from its predecessors. The new Supercaliber race bike uses a suspension system Trek is calling IsoStrut to bridge the gap between cross-country efficiency and the control and capability of a full-suspension bike.
