Pirelli says the Cinturato™ Cross and Cinturato™ Gravel tyres are designed for a variety of terrain, from the hard to the mixed ones. Each tyre gets two different versions, ready for either hard packed trails (H) or mixed riding (M) where there are more aggressive knobs for looser surfaces or more aggressive riding.
The Cross version, in its specific Hard Terrain and Mixed Terrain designs, is available in 33x700c. The Gravel version, in its specific Hard Terrain and Mixed Terrain designs, is available in 35x700c, 40x700c and 45x700c as well as in 45x650b and 50x650b and all tires are tubeless-ready.
The gravel tyres also get a reinforced casing featuring a woven fabric bead-to-bead layer with a tubless ready aramid bead optimized for wider rims. Pirelli says this offers great performance in terms of rolling and grip, as well as a great reliability.
The new Cinturato™also get a new rubber compound known as SpeedGRIP. which is similar to the Scorpion™ mountain bike tyre rubber formulation (called SmartGRIP for MTB). The new SpeedGRIP compound retains the same polymer matrix while improving rolling efficiency, Pirelli says they have fine tuned this new rubber towards better energy management.
You'll be able to get the new tyres in October 2019 and it looks like they will cost around the £45 mark.
