White's Level
Rugged riding in the Welsh Valleys, with big climbs rewarded by big descents

White's Level is the most technical of all the trails in the Afan Forest and it's 90% singletrack too. Once you've got the 6km sheep track climb out of the way you'll be rewarded with some big views of the entire valley and the descents provide their own reward too, with some exposed feeling traverses across the hillside and optional black-graded runs for those that really want to push themselves.

There are some sections of classic singletrack in here and there are two options of final descent to pick from, so it's well worth a repeat run if your legs are up to it.

As ever, you're at the mercy of the elements up on the tops and weather can roll in quickly, so be prepared. The trail is best accessed from the Glyncorrwg Visitor Centre, but if you're feeling fit and strong then you can combine this trail with the Y Wal trail to create the black-graded W2 route.
