Video: Dakotah Norton and Adidas 5:10 present ‘Homegrown’
Being content in different environments and not consumed entirely by one scene, place or routine is good for oneself but following that path is not always easy. Variety is essential for the soul to recharge, to take a moment, reflect and for personal growth. The Mondraker Factory Team rider Dakotah Norton has stepped outside what would be an unexpected life choice and, against all doubts and confusion, has proven it is possible. Parallel to his racing ethic, Dak is all in or nothing.

During the off-season, Dakotah’s world completely contrasts life on the road, where he spends half the year racing in Europe. For Dak, home is now Windrock, Tennessee, another world away from the venues where he often races. Where he resides gives Dak a place to create balance and enjoy his time away from his high-speed and intense racing life.
Coming from motocross racing, Dak developed the skills that make him the naturally talented rider he is today. A move to Kentucky led him to explore downhill riding, but he doubted whether this was a possible successful future.
This latest edit, hosted by Adidas Five Ten, explores the ‘real’ life of North America's most promising talent in the modern racing scene. From keeping the adrenalin topped up, training, building his own house with a pit bike track, and, most importantly, taking time away from it all.
