Sonder's Broken Road now available with a steel frame
Having launched both the Sedona and El Camino late last year, Sonder has today unveiled the Broken Road Steel adventure bike. It takes the solid foundations laid by the established titanium-framed Broken Road but adds a more accessible price point without affecting the ride.

The Broken Road ST is Sonder's 4130 steel-framed adventure mountain bike that gets what the brand reckons is a slack geometry that focuses on delivering a responsive and comfortable ride quality.
Sonder claims to have hit the sweet spot when it comes to the bike's adventure geometry. As such, the large frame gets a 67-degree head tube angle, a 73-degree seat tube angle and a 455mm reach. The chainstay is adjustable from 440mm up to 460mm. In the grand scheme of things, that geometry isn't massively progressive but, for covering miles efficiently over rugged terrain, it should help with comfort and confidence during descending.
That bike gets adjustable chainstays (thanks to the dropouts) and can also run a derailleur or a simple single-speed setup. The Broken Road ST can also be optioned with a dropper post.
Just like its titanium sibling, the Broken Road ST is sorted with attachment points on the frame and fork, making it an ideal choice for bikepacking adventures.
