SDG Duster MTN Ti-Alloy saddle review
The SDG Duster MTN is a tough, robust saddle for long days riding. It’s perfect for trail and enduro riding with Kevlar sides to increase its toughness, balanced with titanium rails for lower weight and extra comfort. A broad nose makes it easy to shift weight fore and aft, plus there's a deep canal down the middle to reduce pressure.
PRO Koryak 170 dropper post review
PRO is Shimano's house brand and the Koryak Dropper has a 170mm drop, internal routing and infinite position adjustment. It's proved to be a smoothly functioning post, with a well-made lever - it’s only compromised by the unreliable single bolt clamp for the saddle.
Continental Der Baron Projekt 2.6 tyre review
Aimed at the Enduro / Free Ride market, Continental's Der Baron Projekts are a dry to soft conditions tyre, with a generous volume, and increased contact area in these 2.6" versions. They are capable, consistent tyre for most conditions as long as it’s not very wet, or deep mud.
7Mesh Farside shorts review
These casual styled, non-chamois Farside shorts from 7mesh offer on and off the bike comfort, with a firm bias towards more relaxed, exploring type riding. They've got excellent cut and fit with superb attention detail and my only complaint was the light coloured option that stains.
Dakine Syncline Pack review
The Syncline is a great day pack for everyday trail riding, with all the essentials you’d need, plus a well-positioned fluid reservoir and an optional back protector that adds to this pack's abilities.
VroomBag Review
The VroomBag is simply a huge waterproof bag that acts as a super-sized changing mat - you can get out of all your sweaty, mud covered kit, and keep it all in one place, keeping your vehicle and house cleaner. It's an extremely tidy solution to a messy problem.
Morvelo Overland Dual SS Base Layer-Jersey review
Morvelo's Overland Dual Baselayer-Jersey fits like a jersey, features all the pockets you'd expect (and more), but is built from sweat-wicking baselayer fabric. It's comfy and works extremely well – both alone on hot days, and beneath other layers when the temperatures fall. It's tight, though, so watch the sizing.
Zefal Crank Armour review
There's nothing worse than smacking cranks against rocks and damaging the ends, especially if they are carbon. Zefal's solution is these soft thermoplastic end caps. Whilst they work, they are a little disposable and in some cases increase the chances of strikes.
Lazer Coyote helmet review
With its no-nonsense enduro and trail focussed good looks, effective ventilation and tuneable fit, Lazer's Coyote helmet is a good value choice. It offers an increased level of coverage compared to most cross-country lids and it's comfortable too.
Morvelo Overland Selector shorts review
The Selector shorts from Morvelo are a stretchy, but casual cut short, somewhere in the middle ground between lycra shorts and mountain bike baggies. They are versatile and could be worn all day for bike rides or basically any active adventure.
