Fabric Line saddle
Fabric is a now established name to the components market, and they've made quite an impression - especially with their line of saddles, I've spent the last couple of months putting as many miles into the Titanium railed Line model to see if it lives up to its claim of being "supremely comfortable for longer days in the saddle".
Oxford Tucano Helmet
The Oxford Tucano Helmet offers a quite moto-inspired helmet at an entry level price. With some nice details on paper, it performed adequately once out on the trail but there are a few issues that need addressing for it to be a really good trail helmet.
Ion Rampart 8
Ion’s Rampart 8 pack is a slim shaped, versatile and hard wearing pack, with a strong bike park leanings, but still capable as an everyday trail pack if you like to carry lots.
Fabric Sixteen Tool
The Fabric 16 tool, has, funnily enough, sixteen tools to choose from. Mostly quite common, and with a few more niche choices. It hits the middle ground in the number of options, and is svelte and works well as a get you home tool.
Squirt Barrier Balm
The Barrier Balm from Squirt offers to protect skin by adding a layer to protect your nether regions from getting chaffing on long rides. It's antibacterial and anti-fungal abilities also are aimed at stopping fissures or sores.
Enigma Escape
Enigma has a deservedly good reputation for high-quality titanium frames and the Escape is their do-it-all bike for un-made roads, gravel and off-road. It handled everything I threw at it with composure and adaptability - it's a bike that can take on a serious amount of terrain, and miles, either loaded or light.
Hutchinson Toro 27.5x2.25" Tubeless Ready HardSkin
Hutchinson's Toro is an excellent all year round tyre for UK conditions, with the exception of super dry trails and extreme mud. It's tough, reasonably fast rolling and breaks away predictably, making it a solid tyre for conditions that are are often more damp than dry.
ODI Elite Motion Lock-On Grips
As one of the longest-running and well-renowned grip manufacturers, you’d expect these lock-on grips from ODI to perform. Part of the Elite range, these Motion versions are designed to be super slim with a low profile knurl pattern and they work flawlessly.
Vel Silicone Grip
These super light grips from VEL offer simplicity over everything. No lock on, no dual compounds, just a foam sleeve that is just shaped and finished at the ends, with a slight chamfer on the edge.
Michelin Force AM Tyre
If you're after a fast and tough tyre that works well on dry, hardpacked trails, the Michelin Force AM is a capable choice, but it lacks the bite needed for an aggressive front tyre and it's definitely not one to reach for if things get remotely wet and muddy.
