The Merida EX Enduro returns for a seventh year
After another successful event in 2022, the multi-day mountain bike event Merida EX Enduro presented by Shimano is returning for 2023. This year's event follows the well-established and popular concept, but the organisers are already looking ahead with the change of focus on e-bikes in 2024.

The EX enduro mtb event has proven to be a favourite amongst off.road.cc staff and that is because it is more than just a race. Taking place over three days from 15 to 17 September, the event takes riders through 110km of some of the best but least-ridden singletrack that South West England, and possibly even the whole of the UK, has to offer.
Throughout those 110km, riders will tackle upwards of 20 timed stages, including some pretty gruesome climbs. And while the stages are timed, this event is one of the best ways to sample the excellent trails that Exmoor has to offer.
And riding at the EX Enduro really takes place around the clock. Thanks to excellent feedback, the Exposure Lights Night Enduro stages have become a staple of the EX Enduro experience and will make a return in 2023.
But beyond all the riding and timed stages, the buzz continues in the event village. The 80 riders will descend upon the Minehead-based race village for the weekend, enjoying food, camping, prizes, and all the beer you can drink - all included in the entry fee.
Pre-registration for the event is open now. This will register your interest in the event and give you the best chance of bagging an entry, as EX Enduro entries are renowned for selling out within minutes.
If you're unlucky with an entry for this year's event, Enduro's organizers are already looking well ahead. The 'classic' EX Enduro will be shelved for 2024 and gets replaced by eEX Enduro. The new format takes everything we know and love about the classic event but makes it e-MTB specific, with a range of e-bike-specific details.
Pre-registration for the 2024 eEX Enduro is already open so if you're an e-biker, this is an excellent opportunity to get yourself an entry.
