PNW Components' new Range dropper post might be the cheapest long-travel dropper around
Seattle-based brand, PNW Components is best known for balancing reliability and performance with good pricing. The brand looks set to reach that goal again with its latest Range dropper post and we're told that it's the only dropper on the market that offers up to 200mm of travel at the £160 mark.

With the new Range Dropper Post and Range Lever, PNW is providing durable but affordable components to please new and experienced riders alike.
The dropper post is built with a sealed cartridge to make servicing easy. It's built to offer the best of the brand's Ridge and Rainier droppers, coming with the 6061 aluminium chassis found on the former, and the internals of the latter.
The Range Dropper Post is available in 125-, 150-, 175- and 200mm travel lengths which is the real unique selling point as there are few, if any, competitors that offer as much drop for the cash. It's available in 30.9- and 31.6mm diameters, too, uses internal cable routing only and can be actuated using cable-operated levers.
As for the lever, it borrows a lot from the much-loved Loam Lever but brings it all down to a friendlier price point. It gets the signature silicone pad of its pricier sibling and oversized sealed bearing but gets fewer adjustments. It is made using the forging process, rather than the five-axis CNC machine of the Loam Lever.
The Range Lever comes with a 22.2mm clamp mount or can be fitted to SRAM MMX.
As for pricing, the dropper alone will set you back £159 and the lever is £49. Both can be bought together as a package for £199.
