Giant launches more affordable alloy framed Revolt gravel bike range
Giant has added to its Revolt gravel bike range with a trio of more affordable aluminium framed models alongside the race-focused, carbon-framed Revolt Advanced, with space for 700x45mm rubber and specially profiled bars and seatposts to improve comfort.

The new bikes start from £1,049 and top out at £1,499, with all of them sharing the same aluminium frame that the brand say uses all of Giant's metal shaping knowhow to balance stiffness and comfort. All the bikes also get a full-carbon, tapered steerer fork, with clearance for up to 45mm tyres on 700c wheels and through axles all round.
While the new bikes might be getting sold on their gravel abilities, it's fairly obvious that these bikes are being pitched as comfortable, do-it-all drop-bar machines, with geometry that's a bit less race-focused than the carbon Revolt Advanced. All bikes get tubeless-ready wheels and tyres, which is a nice touch, plus there are the usual plethora of rack and guard mounts.
The bikes also borrow from Giant's cyclocross range in the form of the composite D-Fuse seatpost, which changes profile from round to D-shaped and is said to give up to 12mm of movement to improve comfort. The handlebar gets a similar treatment on the two higher-end models, with a D-Fuse bar that's claimed to have 10% more compliance when pushed down on and 30% better upwards stiffness compared to their Contact SL round handlebar.
Interestingly, all the bikes in the range use doubles - another hint that their true metier might be away from the gravel racetrack.
