5 cool things from Madison, Pro, Pedalling Innovations, Evoc and Nukeproof
A bike we've been hankering after for a while is finally here for testing, the Nukeproof Digger gravel bike! Also we have a short Pro dropper post, the largest platform flat pedals we've ever seen, a hefty Evoc bag and more Madison waterproof trousers. Dig in!
Nukeproof Digger Pro
The Nukeproof Digger is, so they say, the gravel bike for mountain bikers. It's a term we've heard before (namely about the Marin Gestalt we tested last month) but taking one look at the Digger with its 650B wheels, the chunky 47c tyres and 120mm dropper post and it rather tickles our fancy. You can take a first look at the bike here, it's off home with Dave for testing, he'll be back with a full review soon.
Madison DTE women's trousers
We really liked the Madison women's waterproof trousers when we reviewed them last year. Since then they have been updated with a new colourway, and a new name (DTE) and we thought we'd check in to see if they are still just as good!
Pro Koryak external 70mm dropper post
A short dropper that looks good for a retrofit on a gravel bike or an old mountain bike with no internal routing. That brings us swiftly on to an ongoing office conversation that controversially goes like this; 'gravel bikes do not need dropper posts' - Discuss....
Pedalling Innovations Catalyst flat pedals
These are incredibly large platform pedals that they say will "instantly improve your power, stability and comfort". Measuring 143 x 95 x 16mm, they have a claimed weight of 505g which we didn't think was too bad given the size of 'em!
Evoc Neo backpack
The Evoc Neo is large 16L pack with what looks like a super sturdy back protector at the rear. The protection panel is removable and is designed to offer a large amount of ventilation alongside high shock absorbing properties.
