Another week has come around quickly in the off-road.cc office. This week, we've been mainly drooling over gravel bikes and trying to find something nice and new from our editor Jon's unruly desk to give away as our Facebook page reaches all new heights. E-bike popularity is growing and growing, there is no doubt about that and whilst we aren't complete converts yet, we can certainly see their place in the market and we sure have had some fun on them! Our Staff Writer, Rachael, lives about ten miles away from the off-road.cc office, so she thought she'd explore the possibilities of an urban e-bike commuter in the form of this Specialized Turbo

Liv Cycling is the female portion of the brand Giant, as you might imagine they produce female specific bikes, catering for all sectors of the market. Rachael recently headed out to South Tyrol in the Italian Alps to ride their first women’s specific e-bike the Liv Vall E+, a hardtail e-bike with plus sized tyres. Liv say this bike is aimed at riders wishing to broaden their off-road horizons, keep up with a faster group of friends or make a return to riding after illness or injury.

Japanese tyre company Panaracer has been quick to offer a range of gravel-specific tyres, becoming a significant player in the burgeoning market. Measuring 43mm wide, these GravelKing SK tyres are tubeless compatible and feature a tread pattern that excels both on and off road, with a tough carcass that can withstand some abuse.

We've been out of the office this week in South Tyrol checking out a new ladies E-bike in South Tyrol (see the First Ride here) and when we got back this little lot was waiting for us! We've got kit from Giro and HT and something rather interesting to add to our first aid kit - spray on silver ions, time to get out and implement our first aid training on some unsuspecting victims!
