ODI are hailed as the pioneers of the lock-on grip and as we are longstanding fans we were excited to see the arrivals of three pairs of their Elite series grips drop onto our desks in the all new colour ways. After launching the new Genius last month, Scott has now announced the Contessa version of the bike. The Contessa Genius adds a female specific option to the model line up with components that Scott think will suit female riders best.

New Scott Bikes Go Overboard

A cargo ship in Brazilian waters believed to be carrying brand new Scott bicycles has lost a number of containers overboard, some of which are now being looted by locals with boats of their own.

Posted to Facebook over the weekend a video emerged showing the ship in trouble having lost a portion of its cargo overboard. Around 45 of the ship’s containers are believed to have gone overboard.

2018 Specialized Enduro Revealed

Specialized have overhauled their much loved Enduro once again. After last year's changes which saw the brand bestow the long travel bike with geometry much more in line with its competitors, the brand has now tweaked the 2018 Enduro to offer a longer reach and a flip chip in the shock yoke to lower the BB and slacken the head angle.

Two Bikes on a Comeback for Niner

Niner have announced the return of two favorite bikes and reportedly they’re better than ever. 

The AIR 9 (a 120mm trail hardtail) and RLT 9 (a gravel bike) have returned with some design tweaks that improve the rides and Niner describe both the new bikes as reliable, fast and efficient.

NS Bikes Launch 148mm Wide Grips

NS Bikes have just launched a new lock on mountain bike grip, the Hold Fast, that at 148mm in length is considerably longer than most other brands!

Manon Carpenter Retires From Downhill Racing

In an honest statement released by Radon Bikes today, Manon said:

“The decision for me to withdraw from racing has come about quickly, but the reasons have been there for a while. Over the races this year I’ve been finding it harder to face up to difficult situations – high consequence sections or changing conditions – and during National Champs weekend I came to the conclusion that I just didn’t want to take the risks involved with racing at 100% anymore.
