The 10km loop is set in the picturesque Druridge Bay Country Park near Morpeth in the North East of England, with the organisers promising at least 90 minutes of high-intensity racing for the £25 entry fee. As you'd expect, that also gets you full event timing with online results, plus an event village with hot and cold food plus free camping should you need it.
Numbers will be limited to just 250 people and the categories include:
- Open Male (16+)
- Open Female (16+)
- Veteran Male (40+)
- Veteran Female (40+)
- Singlespeed (First Male And Female)
- Fat Bike (First Male And Female)
The event will be supported by Alpkit and Sonder, with a full range of bikes and kit for you to fondle at your leisure.
We're keen to get ourselves along and take literally years off the lifespan of our drivetrains, so head to sandblasted.cc for more information or to get an entry.
* Okay, maybe not everyone but most cyclists will talk your ear off about it at any rate...
