RockShox Revelation retires – replaced by Psylo
RockShox’s new product addition is the Psylo, replacing the Revelation, Yari, and 35 series forks. The new design packs value features into a fork structure with 35mm stanchions and travel options from 130- to 160mm, covering everything from agile trail bikes to ultralightweight enduro riders who can get away with a 160mm fork built around 35mm stanchions.

Three Psylos – but you can only buy ‘Gold’
Available in three grades for 27.5- and 29-inch wheels, the Psylo Silver R is RockShox’s entry-level option, being air-sprung and featuring RockShox’s proven Motion Control damper.
The reference weight for the Psylo Silver R, in its 160mm travel configuration, is 2,888g. Psylo Silver RC exchanges the ‘R’ version’s coil spring for RockShox’s Solo Air, dropping weight to 2,786g. These forks are OEM fitted and won’t be available as aftermarket upgrades.
The only version of RockShox’s new value fork available for retail purchase by riders looking to upgrade is the Psylo Gold RC. It features a new damper, the Isolator RC, with three-position compression circuit selection – the familiar Open, Pedal, and Firm settings – and externally adjustable rebound.
With its Isolator RC damper and DebonAir internals, the Psylo Gold RC is notably lighter than RockShox’s Psylo Silvers, at only 2,320g, and is priced at £580.
Domain and Rudy upgrades
Beyond the Psylo range, RockShox’s engineering and product planners have also updated the brand’s long-travel enduro and ultra short-travel gravel bike forks.
The Domain Gold RC now features RockShox’s Isolator RC damper, which helps trim weight on the 180mm version from 2,601- to 2,561g, comparing the Gold RC to the previous RC. Available in travel options from 150- to 180mm, RockShox’s updated Domain Gold RC prices at £620.
Most of the season’s RockShox fork upgrades concern trail, all-mountain and enduro riders, but endurance and adventure touring riders also have a specification enhancement to celebrate. It’s a damper upgrade for RockShox’s lightest fork, the Rudy Ultimate XPLR.
The Charger Race Day 2 is RockShox’s lightest damper and is now part of the Rudy Ultimate XPLR internals, on both the 30- and 40mm travel versions. Depending on terrain, gravel riders can select two compression settings – open or lock – to reduce upper body fatigue or enhance pedalling efficiency when riding off-road on drop bars.
At only 1,344g, the updated Rudy Ultimate XPLR is the ideal blend of comfort and control for gravel bikes on those long adventure rides, across unpredictable terrain.
Recommended retail pricing for the Rudy Ultimate XPLR is £900.
