PNW Components adds women's kit to the apparel range
Back in November last year PNW Components entered the apparel market with a jersey, jacket, and pair of shorts. While the jacket is unisex, there was one thing clearly missing; women's kit. The components brand has now filled that gap in the line with Women's specific versions of the Ozone Jersey and Shuttle Short.
- 10 pieces of essential mountain bike clothing for beginners
- The best mountain bike jerseys for women - short and long sleeve tops tested
- The best baggy mountain bike shorts for women - tried and tested
PNW has built upon the clothing launch and now offers the OZone Jersey and Shuttle Short in women's specific fits. The brand says that the new garments were developed by women and that it offers high performance in a comfortable, functional, and affordable package, falling in line with the brand's 'affordable luxury' outlook.
Just like the men's version, the OZone Trail Jersey is made up of a blend of 80% polyester and 20% wool, making the jersey soft but moisture-wicking and anti-bacterial. The brand says that it's also bluesign approved, claiming that it meets the requirements of the highest environmental standards for the textile industry.
Moving onto the shorts, the Shuttle Short eliminates knee pad gap with a long inseam and a contoured hem. This model is also sorted with four pockets with space for a big ol' smartphone. The short is constructed with a four-way stretch fabric that's treated with a DWR coating.
PNW Components commits to sustainability with all apparel being manufactured from bluesign and OEKO-TEX certified materials. All of the brand's product is shipped in compostable packaging and like all PNW products, the women's apparel is covered by a Lifetime Warranty. This means that the brand will cover any failure due to manufacturing defects and will repair or replace them free of charge.
As for pricing, the OZone Trail Jersey will cost £38.25 while the Shuttle Short is priced at £75.
