Pirelli unveils shocking, new yellow tubeless tyre sealant
Pirelli has unveiled a bright-yellow tubeless sealant that comes in two formulas and is named - either P-Zero, Cinturato or Scorpion - to make choosing the right one easy.

Both the road and off-road versions of the Pirelli SmartSeal tubeless sealant come in yellow colour which aims to make spotting small punctures easier.
The off-road Cinturato/Scorpion blend is ammonia- and latex/protein-free, making it safer for all rims and those with latex allergies. Pirelli claims it works well with tire pressures from 15psi to 100psi and is suitable for temperatures ranging from -20ºC up to 70ºC.
The P-Zero sealant - aimed for high-pressure road tires - uses an ammonia and latex-based formula and is Co2 compatible. This version also has micro-sealing particles to help seal any holes as quick as possible and it works in the same temperature range as the Cinturato/Scorpion blend.
The Cinturato/Scorpion is only compatible with Co2 in an emergency as the gas can speed up clotting of the sealant, which means you’d need to change it as soon as you're home.
Pirelli says both sealants are otherwise good for three to six months - depending on the temperatures and amount of sealant used. The brand also says the bright coloured sealant doesn’t leave any sticky residue on your tyres or rims, which is a huge benefit.
Size-wise, the P-Zero High Pressure Sealant only comes in a 60ml single-use bottle, whereas the Cinturato / Scorpion version comes in a 125ml travel bottle, and larger 240ml, 1L and 5L bottles for home and workshop use.
