Parcours launches new Alta gravel wheelset

If you're after a versatile wheelset for your gravel bike that's just as happy hitting the dirt as putting in the miles on tarmac, then Parcour's new Alta wheelset might be right up your street, marrying wide, disc-specific aero profile rims to their own Centrelock hubs.
- The best gravel and adventure bikes you can buy for under £2,000
- Is it worth converting your mountain bike to tubeless?
- The best titanium gravel and adventure bikes you can buy
The British brand's new wheelset uses their own aero profile with a 35mm depth married to a 21.5mm internal width to help deal with the higher volume tyres you're likely to want for gravel adventuring.
The tubeless-ready rims use 28 spokes front and rear to keep them stiff and sturdy. At a claimed 1,460g for a pair, they're also respectably lightweight for the £849 asking price. The hubs use a Centrelock disc mount and run on EZO bearings to keep things smooth, plus adaptor kits are available to convert them from the 12mm standard front and rear axles.
If you're really into the go far, go fast business then you can also have them specced with a dynamo hub, namely a SON delux 12, and they've been proven in the ultra-distance Trans Continental race by Parcour's Chris Herbert.
