At their introduction, way back when in 1997, the Z2 was a shorter travel fork for those who needs required less than the 100mm of travel seen on the burlier Z1 of the time. The premise is still the same in 2019 but this time the 34mm stanchioned Z2 boasts 100, 120, 130, 140, and 150mm travel options, still shorter than the 150-180mm seen on the Z1, but only just. It's worth mentioning now if you are a Marzocchi fan who fancies a trip down memory lane, we have a roundup of the best Marzocchi forks of all time here.
Marzocchi will offer the Z2 in versions that are fit for 27.5 x 2.8" or 29 x 2.6" setups, there will also be a choice of three offsets including 37, 44 and 51mm.
Internally the new Z2 uses the new RAIL damper system and a Fox Float air spring. The damper can be moved throughout the range of compression damping to a full lock out and there is adjustable compression and 12 clicks of rebound damping too.
You can buy the fork in back or red, but unfortunately, we aren't sure of the price yet. We do know that in the US the new Z2 will cost $499.99.
