Nopinz launches a gravel skinsuit with cargo pockets
Nopinz, the British manufacturer of performance cycling apparel - namely focusing on aerodynamics - has launched its first gravel-specific product, the Pro-1 Gravel speed suit. This suit is targeted at those after the fastest times and marginal gains.
- Best gravel bike shoes 2023
- 2023 UK gravel events - the best off-road races of the year
- 2023 International Gravel Events - the best off-road events from around the globe
Gravel racing is really booming and it’s getting ever more professional, regulated and well, fast. Nopinz has clocked this - its founder and CEO Blake Pond said of the release:
“With gravel racing at a championship level now becoming part and parcel of the sport, it’s clear that the market is calling out for a performance-orientated, gravel-specific skinsuit, at an affordable price point. Without a doubt, this is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our ability to blend aerodynamics with comfort and durability within the ever-growing gravel cycling community.”
The Pro-1 gravel suit blends the aerodynamic performance of Nopinz speed suits with the functionality and durability you would expect from any premium gravel racing apparel. You get reinforced Dyneema crash "guard" panels strategically placed on the hips to prevent injury or damage if you do take a tumble, and interestingly for a speed suit, two mesh cargo pockets on the legs. At the back, you have three large rear feed pockets that allow for plenty of snacks storage and easy access when on the move.
The arms and upper back fabrics have been optimised for aerodynamics at lower speeds
with other fabric choices considered carefully to keep the rider cool.
The speed suit is available in both women’s and men’s fits with sizes ranging from 2XS to 2XL - and each suit sets you back £199.99.
