Mondraker reveals Raze Alloy trail bike
Mondraker has released the Raze Alloy, a new aluminium-framed trail bike that the brand says offers the same qualities and performance as the higher range carbon framed models at a more affordable price point.

- Best mountain bikes for under £3,000 - capable trail bikes that won't break the bank
- Gravel bike vs mountain bike: what are the differences?
The Raze Alloy is built on the Raze Carbon which Mondraker launched back in 2022. The Raze Alloy comes in two models: Raze and Raze R, and shares the same geometry and kinematics as the Raze Carbon and makes the bike a quiver killer.
Mondraker has created the Raze for the demands of trail mountain bike riding, which requires the bike to have both sharp handling and stability on downhills. To achieve this balance, the Raze Alloy boasts progressive geometry and kinematics, inspired by Mondraker's enduro mountain bike, the Foxy.
Like the Carbon Raze, the alloy version utilises Mondraker's FORWARD GEOMETRY, which says to offer trail bike characteristics with enduro bike aspirations. The Raze and Raze R get a 65.6-degree head angle, a 77-degree effective seat tube angle across the sizes, and a 435mm chainstay. The reach on a large frame measures 490mm.
The Raze is titled as an 'all-purpose full suspension' mountain bike and comes with generous travel to suit a variety of trails. Raze Alloy gets a 150mm fork (RockShox 35 on the Raze and a Fox 36 on the Raze R), coupled with 130mm of rear wheel travel utilising Mondraker’s ZERO suspension system.
Both of the models come with SRAM GX and SX shifting, SRAM Level T and R2 brakes and Maxxis Dissector 29x2.4in tyre at the front and Maxxis Aggressor 29x2.3in at the back.
The Raze and Raze R share the aesthetics of the Raze Carbon model and come in a single colourway for each model, and both are offered in sizes ranging from S to XL. The Raze retails for £3,199 and Raze R for £4,399.
The bikes are available now from local retailers.
