USWE has taken the Hajker backpack and has made it ripe for winter with the use of waterproof fabrics and thermal materials to help stop you, and your drink from freezing in sub-zero temperatures.
Like the existing Hajker, the Hajker 30 Winter comes in two models, a standard and a Pro. The former offers 30 litres of storage and comes built with a rolltop opening for the main compartment, keeping your kit dry and safe.
As we've come to expect from a USWE pack, it comes with the brand's No Dancing Monkey 2.1 harness which is made up of stretchy straps that allow for a snug fit but compliant fit. It's designed to be mega stable too, so it shouldn't shift about as your rattle down chunky descents. This includes a wasit support belt and multi-adjustable back panel.
The bag get a host of insulation found in the Thermo Cell shoulder straps and keeps in heat from your body's movement to keep the hydration bladder's tube from freezing. There are also a collection of pockets to keep gels and food from freezing.
Around the bag is a range of compression straps to keep the bag's profile as low as possible, even when fully laden and there are two zipped and water-resistance side pockets, joined by two quick stash side pockets. There's a handy helmet carry system too that's totally detachable if it's not something you find yourself using.
The Pro version of the Hajker Winter differs as it's built using ROBIC EXTREEMA fabric which is said to be one of the toughest fabrics you can buy. It's promised to be up to 50% stronger than a normal nylon six fibre fabric.
If you find yourself riding in super harsh conditions and want to keep your fluids from freezing, the Hajker 30 Winter will set you back £173 while the Pro model is priced at £259.
