SRAM shows off refined AXS Pod Rocker shifter
SRAM's AXS Transmission drivetrains have been around for over a year now, providing slickgreater loads and shifting under longer service intervals. However, its Pod remote shifter was a sticking point, being a love-it-or-hate-it piece of kit. For those who didn't get on with SRAM's latest shifter, the brand has refined it to introduce the AXS Pod Rocker paddle that boosts its functionality and ergonomics.

SRAM's new Pod Rocker Paddle interface is designed to be a little more familiar than its previous design. Now, it's shaped similarly to the Eagle AXS Rocker paddle shifter on its Drivetrain generation groupsets, something we've seen on both Nino Schurter's race bike, as well as Matt Beer's Cape Epic Specialized S-Works Epic 8.
It's available in both left and right variants allowing the user to shift gears while actuating a Reverb AXS dropper post. As before, each shifter's functions are customisable through the AXS app.
Available as a complete controller, the SRAM Pod Rocker Paddle controller will set you back £150 but in a commendable move, the paddle can be bought as an upgrade to an existing Pod controller for £20.
