Lazer unveils new Lupo and Finch helmets
Today, Lazer has added two brand new helmets to the lineup, this time catering to both kids and adults. The Finch and Lupo both bring the brand's KinetiCore technology to a price point that's friendly on the wallet and they share several similarities.
- Best mountain bike helmets 2024 - top-rated head protection for the trail
- Lazer Cage KinetiCore full-face helmet review
- Best full face MTB helmets 2024 - top-tier head protection for testing your limits
The Lupo is the adult's helmet and comes sorted with the brand's KinetiCore rotational-impact protection that utilises controlled crumple zones built into the inside of the helmet. This tech helps the Lupo reach a five-star protection rating awarded by Virginia Tech.
On top of that, there's an integrated and fixed visor and brow vents to encourage even more airflow. The Lupo then gets deep side coverage and Lazer's TurnSys fit system. It's then compatible with the Lazer Universal LED and Winter Kit which makes this a solid choice for year-round use. There are then eight colours to choose from.
Coming with a very similar look is the Finch, the kid's helmet and like the Lupo it meets Virginia Tech's 5-star protection rating thanks to Lazer's KinetiCore rotational-impact protection system. The similarities continue as there are also brow vents, deep coverage and the TurnSys fit system. However, this helmet is specifically designed for smaller heads with a focus on making it look proportionate on kids.
The straps are also built using fewer plastics, which is always great to see and the Finch is compatible with the Universal Lazer LED and Winter Kit systems.
As for pricing, the Lupo will set you back £60 while the Finch is £50.
