Lazer releases Chase KinetiCore downhill helmet
Lazer, the Belgian helmet manufacturer, has announced the addition of a brand new full-face downhill mountain biking helmet to its range. The new Chase helmet utilises Lazer’s proprietary KinetiCore rotational and impact protection technology and is the first downhill-specific lid from the brand.

KinetiCore - which Lazer released last year - is the key to this full-face helmet's safety features. The technology is, in essence, a built-in rotational-impact protection with ‘Controlled Crumple Zones’ incorporated into the internal structure of the helmet. The integrated design should allow for advanced multi-directional protection without excessive use of material, which aids ventilation, a lighter-weight helmet design, and fewer plastics used in construction.
The Chase KinetiCore has received a five-star protection rating from Virginia Tech, an independent helmet testing facility. It features a breakaway peak for enhanced neck protection, a flexible front grid to protect the face from splashes and thick padding for a snug and comfortable fit.
The Chase Kineticore is in five sizes ranging from XS to XL and comes in six, matte colourways. The helmet retails for £200.
