Hot off the heels of the launch of CushCore Trail, the e-MTB model gets a very similar look as it features fluted sidewalls that promise a progressive feel under cornering and flow channels which are designed to increase air and sealant distribution around the tyre's interior. It even uses the same foam composition as what's found on other inserts in the range.
However, things change in the insert's profile, where it has been tweaked to provide better impact absorption, rim protection, and puncture prevention as well as an improvement in durability.
Offering CushCore's highest level of rim protection, the E-MTB version is available in 650b and 29in wheel sizes and will fit tyre sizes from 2.3in up to 2.8. Then it'll fit happily with inner rim widths of 22mm up to 35mm. The 650b size is claimed to weigh 281g while the 29in model sits at 299g, says the brand.
As for pricing, a single e-MTB insert will set you back £90 while a pair is £170.
