The Exceed has been seen underneath a range of big names on the XC circuit, including Mathieu van der Poel, Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado, and Andreas Seewald, just to name a few.
For this model year, Canyon has given the Exceed some new colourways but importantly, there's a whole new model that brings the Exceed's podium-topping performance to a friendlier price point. But first, the CF SLX builds have been slimmed down to just one, offering the very same 1015g (claimed) carbon frame as last year's bike but with a Fox 23 Step Cast fork, a carbon cockpit, and wireless SRAM GX Eagle shifting. There's also a carbon DT Swiss XCR1501 wheelset.
Back onto that entry-level build. It's called the Exceed CF 4 and comes in at a price of £1,600. For that money, you'll be getting a carbon frame that's said to weigh 1312g with a reliable build kit consisting of a RockShox Recon Silver RL 32 fork, SRAM SX shifting, Shimano MT200 brakes, and Schwalbe Rocket Ron tyres.
Prices for the latest Exceed range start at the aforementioned £1,600 and £4,500 for the CF SLX build.
