Andorra MTB Classic-Pyrenees becomes Andorra Epic
The organisers of Andorra MTB Classic-Pyrenees have announced that the mountain bike race held in the European microstate will now be known as the Andorra Epic. This means it will also be added to the Epic Series complete with Legend race status.

Andorra MTB Classic-Pyrenees, which has been successfully running for two years will be renamed Andorra Epic, and it also joins other world-class mountain bike competitions that hold a ‘Legend’ race title. These include some of the hardest mountain bike races in the world, such as the 4Islands MTB Croatia, SPAR Swiss Epic, and the Absa Cape Epic.
“The name Andorra Epic reinforces the task at hand and elevates the race within the Epic Series and the world of mountain biking. Andorra is a mountain bike paradise; the name change perfectly positions the event experience of more mountain biking, more kilometres, and more opportunities to Conquer the Pyrenees in Andorra,” said Aleix Ribell, Project Manager at the Andorra Epic.
Andorra sits right at the Pyrenees so it is no surprise that the Andorra Epic will include some serious climbing and is not for the faint-hearted. The participants, who ride in pairs, will gain 7,160 metres of elevation over 220km during the four stages.
With the new status of the race, participants who have completed the Cape Epic and one other Legend race in addition to the Andorra Epic will receive an Epic Legend medal on the finish line in La Massana and join an exclusive club of riders who also call themselves Epic Legends.
Entries to the 2023 Andorra Epic are open; teams can secure their spot at the event below.
