11 off-road events to check out
Here comes another round-up of some off-road events happening in the next two weeks! There’s plenty of enduro going on, and some fun weekly series are kicking off. But also, some gravel epics… and demo days!

1. Beastway MTB
Time: Wednesday 4th and 11th May 2022, kick-off at 18:46
Location: Hog Hill, IG6 3HP, England
Beastway is Britain's longest-running regular weekly MTB series. The organisers also claim that they’re the “best midweek blast whether you want to race seriously or just for fun”.
These Wednesday sessions kick off an annual series of all-for-one hour-long blasts every Wednesday evening in May and June - there will be a total of nine races like these.
Courses change for each round as we mix in new challenges and old favourites around the trails we developed over the last nine years. There are to be some great views, trails, coffee, cake and comradery.

2. Pirelli Vallelujah 2022

Time: Saturday 7t May 2022 & Sunday 8 May 2022
Location: Tweed Valley, Scotland
Pirelli Vallelujah offers riders two days of riding some of the best enduro trails in the UK.
The schedule is; practice Saturday, race day Sunday - and you might need the practice as the course is kept secret until the event. You can expect some great Tweed Valley trails and this year e-bikes have got their own category!

3. The Dunkeld Enduro 2022

Time: Saturday 7th May 2022
Location: St Ninian's Gardens, Dunkeld, Scotland
The Dunkeld Enduro is on and ready to deliver a day of exciting racing over a great mix of the fast and technical trails that Dunkeld is infamous for. The event includes two options: the Lite and Full, providing something for everyone.
The Lite option will be three stages and the Full option includes two more technical stages. The Lite course is approximately 23km with 915m ascent/descent, Full course is approximately 35km with 1442m ascent/descent.

4. Welsh Enduro Series RD2 - 2022

Time: Sunday 8th May 2022
Location: Foel Gasnach Downhill Trails, Wales
The second round of the Welsh enduro series. This offers plenty of categories and seems like a great place to start if you are wanting to dip into the enduro racing. Check out the details from the link below!
5. Travers Bikes MTB Series - Round 3

Time: Sunday 8th May 2022
Location: Potash Woods, Hockley, England
The Travers MTB Series is a friendly XC mountain bike series open to all ages. Each round of the series has a different course setup and is great for all abilities and the woods offer a good mix of flowing singletrack and wide open space for riders to overtake.

6. Midweek MTB Madness

Time: Saturday 7th May 2022
Location: Lee Quarry Mountain Bike Trails, Lancashire, England
This one is a simple, grassroots, friendly midweek cross country race series. Started back in the day by Lisa Graham at British Cycling and the event has gradually evolved into a series run by volunteer clubs – putting on events in and around the Greater Manchester area.

7. Yorkshire and Wessex Gravel Epic
Time: Saturday 7th May 2022
Location: Yorkshire edition: Skipton and Wessex edition: Frome
These two events happening at the same time are organised by Glorius Gravel and seem to take in the best dirt roads of Yorkshire and Wessex. There are multiple distance options ranging from 60 to 105km and you can even rent a bike for the ride if you don't have one!

8. The Gravel Bonanza

Location: The Service Course Wilmslow, England
Service Course's UK Gravel Bonanza event is back for a second edition in Wilmslow, with a spectacular mixed surface route stitching together some of the best bits of the Peak District National Park and back home via Macclesfield Forest for the now traditional post-ride pints and pies… Riders of all abilities are welcome to join the party!

9. Pearce Cycles demo weekend
Time: Saturday 14th May 2022 to Sunday 15th May 2022
Location: Hopton Woods Mountain Bike Trail Centre
Try some bikes at this demo by Pearce Cycles. An entry gives you an uplift service, and you will be able to get plenty of runs on the latest bikes from Orange and Nukeproof.
There will be a specific loop for the demo day using a shortened version of the red loop accessed from the uplift drop off.
And there will be a catering van on site for breakfast rolls, tea & coffee etc.

10. Sisters of Send Weekend 2022
Time: Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th of May 2022
Location: Bryn Bettws Lodge, South Wales
Wales' first annual women's mountain bike festival! This is gonna be a class weekend with a jam-packed programme of bike and lifestyle activities. We've written about the event before but check also the event page below for all the details. There seem to still be tickets available!
11. TORQ in your SLEEP 2022
Time: Friday 13th May 2022 to Sunday 15th May 2022
Location: Minley Manor, Hants, England
Looking for something... longer? The TORQ in your SLEEP 2022 is a 6/12 hour MTB cross country endurance event, offering you some type two fun. There's free trackside camping, prizes, great catering and of course, a great course!
