Just over a week away on Saturday September 30th Tide to Tide, the unique coastal cycling event returns to Pembrey Country Park, South Wales. With a round of the Welsh Cyclocross season on October 1st making it a double-header weekend.
Tide to Tide is a six hour event, racing from low to tide (2pm to 8pm) on a spectacular 6km course throughout the magnificent Pembrey Country Park. Open to solo, pairs and trios the race will take a snaking route through woodland with heaps of fun single and doubletrack as well as a short section on the hard, fast beach. The course is designed for all off-roaders like mountain bikes, cyclocross, adventure bikes or fat bikes. If it rolls on dirt and you can pedal it, then you can race it!
For 2017 the crew have once again teamed up with Welsh Cycling with a round of the Welsh Cyclocross season taking place on the Sunday, using a shorter and sharper course with loads of categories and options including kids races available.
Camping is available on site and Pembrey Country park is great for families with a huge adventure playground, Wales' longest toboggan run, dry ski slope, horse riding and of course the wonderful woodlands and beach.
Entries close on Sunday (tomorrow) night, with no entry on the day available, so don't hang around – www.tide2tide.co.uk.
