Video: Daryl Brown's Summer Surge
Daryl Brown is a rider who needs no introduction. His Crankworx Speed and Style wins as well as numerous FISE Slopestyle crowns have cemented him on the freeride scene and he's also a regular on the DarkFest roster. In this video, Daryl heads to a freshly felled Revolution Bike Park in Wales to celebrate summer riding and tick off some of the UK's newest features.

Revolution Bike Park has only recently been re-opened, and so it had some different views to deliver for Brown.
“It was crazy to see Revs. in a different light with no trees,” Daryl said. “It looks
like a different place! Without them, you can see the beautiful Welsh valleys and
scenery way more. But also, now with the trees gone, it’s really important to pick a
day with no wind; we were really fortunate when we filmed as we had the best
weather in the UK with great sunshine and zero wind – which really helped. I just
lapped out the Vision line in brilliant sunshine. It felt great!”
In 2023, Revolution Bike Park famously closed its doors due to a rare tree disease, Phytophthora Ramorum, that affects Japanese Larch. With the closure, the folk behind the bike park said that the downtime would be indefinite, putting the future of the park into question. But as you can see, Revolution Bike Park is back, just without the forest its renowned jump lines flow through.
Daryl's weapon of choice for the project was Whyte's E-180 Works, a big, burly e-mountain bike equipped with a Bosch Performance Line CX Race motor that's arranged in a low centre of gravity design that Whyte has made its name for.
