The brand-new Ritchey WCS Zeta GX wheelset has been inspired directly by the original Ritchey Zeta wheels but adds a little more to the package. The wheels come tubeless ready and feature a WCS hub with sealed bearings and centre-lock rotor mounts. The rear hub houses a 360-degree Ratchet Driver system with 36 points of engagement (10-degree angle of engagement).
The 6066-alloy rims feature a wide 25.5mm inner and 29mm outer diameter, so they’ll play nicely with wider, contemporary options from the best gravel tyres - Ritchey’s recommended tyre range for these hoops is 30mm-50mm. The 19mm deep rims are laced to the hubs with 28 DT competition spokes front and rear for added strength and reliability.
Ritchey says this wheelset was “built to be strong, dependable, and ready to rip, carve, and cruise through all of your gravel adventures – and reliable enough to make sure you can do it all again tomorrow.”
The wheels are compatible with Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo freehubs and can take cassettes ranging from Shimano’s nine-speed to Campag’s 13-speed.
The WCS Zeta GX 700c wheelset, including tubeless tape, weighs 1,840g and the smaller 650b rim size comes in at 1,740g. They're available now and retail for £506.90.
