YT Industries' new Jeffsy Uncaged takes inspiration from founder Markus Flossmann's bike
Running alongside the Core lineup, YT Industries' Uncaged bikes are special edition builds that come with colourways as extravagant as their specifications. As always, the brand has been cooking up something pretty special with the second MK3 Jeffsy Uncaged model that takes inspiration from the founder of YT Industries, Markus Flossmann.

Markus Flossmann, the man behind YT is known for his audacious builds. I mean, he built up his own IZZO with a Lefty fork, ENVE cockpit, and Bikeahead Composites BiTurbo RS Monocoque carbon wheels. Back in June, the brand showed off Markus's very own Jeffsy which was adorned with a colourway that harks back to the Jeffsy MK3's launch campaign, all the while dripping with high-end kit. Now, that bike is available to buy.
The latest iteration of the Jeffsy has been around for a little while now, but to recap, it's YT's do-it-all trail mountain bike that boasts 145mm of travel at the rear paired with 150mm at the front. Geometry-wise, there's a 65-degree head angle, a 77-degree effective seat tube angle and size-specific chainstay lengths. As well as the 80's 80-inspired colour, the Jeffsy Uncaged 14 is all about its premium build spec - the bike dons Öhlins suspension with a RXF36 M.2 fork that's paired with a TTx2 rear shock.
The most exciting facet of this build may well be the inclusion of 5Dev's R-Spec cranks which are built from CNC machined 7050 aluminium. That crankset then drives a Shimano XT drivetrain.
Another nod back to the early days of MTB is the plethora of purple anodised components including the purple-levered Hayes Dominion A4 brakes, Industry Nine 1/1 hubs and Title's ST1 stem. As expected of a YT Industries bike, the Jeffsy Uncaged 14 is finished off with a set of Crankbrothers Synthesis Enduro rims and Title continues to join the party with its AH1 40mm riser bar.
The YT Industries Jeffsy Uncaged 14 is claimed to weigh 15.1kg and it's priced at £5,000.
