The new tread pattern has large centre knobs and wide braking edges for maximum stopping power. The tyre has super sticky GRIPTON T9 compound and a high volume, durable GRID GRAVITY 2-ply casing which gives confidence and makes the tyre ideal for enduro, downhill and park riding. The compound filters vibrations, and together with the casing they, according to Specialized, deliver the unbeatable combination of grip, confidence and control to devour any track.
The Cannibal is also tubeless-ready, featuring Specialized’s 2BlissReady technology, protecting the ride from pinch flats and cuts.
Developing the tyre Specialized partnered with the world’s fastest riders, who are always hungry for more traction. Riders such as Loïc Bruni, Finn Iles and Chris Grice from the Specialized Gravity team helped the brand to develop a mountain bike tyre to tame World Cup Downhill Tracks.
The updated Cannibal tyre is out now, just ahead of the Downhill World Cup in Fort William and retails for £55.
