Sonder's next generation Evol all-mountain bike
Sonder has today unveiled its first updated full-suspension mountain bike for 2024, the Evol. It's had a proper shake-up and now features more suspension travel than before as well as a freshly overhauled geometry. Here is everything you need to know.

The Evol features 160mm of suspension at the front and rear and has been built around a 6061 alloy frame for better durability, making it a solid choice for all kinds of enduro and all-mountain riding.
As well as a jump up in travel, Sonder has paid attention to its geometry with a focus on comfort and experience. The brand claims that the bike now offers an improved riding position that allows riders to eke out more playfulness from the bike whether saddled or in the attack position. Across all sizes, the bike gets a slacker head angle for downhill capability and Sonder promises an efficient pedalling platform.
To put that geometry into numbers, all sizes get a 76.3-degree seat tube angle and a 64.5-degree head tube angle. There's then a 480mm reach on a large frame, a 445mm chainstay and a 1257.8mm wheelbase.
For its quick handling, Sonder has equipped the Evol with a mullet wheel size and the 230x60 shock has been tuned with help from SRAM and tested in-house for the new bike. However, the brand states that it can be tuned to suit a wider range of riders. The Evol uses a Horst link platform.
As for prices, an Evol frameset can be picked up for £1,850 with prices on full builds starting at £2,500 and going up to £4,900 for an Evol equipped with SRAM XO Transmission.
