Race Face's new Aeffect R pedal goes big
Race Face's Aeffect pedal was hailed for its durability but criticized for its size in our review. Since, the brand has recognised these points and has announced the Aeffect R, an all-new pedal that's said to be 25% bigger.

The new Aeffect R from Race Face benefits from a fresh design that sees in a bigger platform. Race Face says that the pedal follows the evolution of modern trail bikes and all-mountain rigs to offer a grippier and durable pedal.
Built around a chromoly steel axle that rolls on a serviceable bearing and bushing system is a 600 series forged aluminium pedal body that's home to 10 top-loading pins per side. These pins are customisable, and replaceable says the brand.
Weighing in at a claimed 440g, the Race Face Aeffect R pedals are available in six colours and are compatible with all standard cranks and crank boots. They're then priced at $130 USD (around £105).
