MAAP and 100% bring out new performance Hypercraft sunglasses
The fourth collaboration between Australian cycling apparel brand MAAP and American eyewear specialist 100% sees the launch of Hypercraft sunglasses featuring a host of performance technologies.
- The best glasses for mountain bike and gravel riding - top glasses reviewed and rated
- Gravel bike racing – everything you need to know
- Best full face MTB helmets 2022 - top-tier head protection for testing your limits
The new specs with a claimed weight of 23g are constructed with UltraCarbon™ technology and are said to be lighter, stronger and more dynamic than any performance lenses on the market.
For those who like to colour match from head to toe, the Hypercraft comes in three new colours; Forest Green, Deep Purple and Bone, which all match MAAP’s apparel. Each set of Hypercrafts comes with two interchangeable lenses; one for brighter and one for low-light conditions.
The variable light transmission (VLT; percentage of light going through the lens) ranges from 14 for the Forest Green frame to 15 in the Bone and 23 in the Deep Purple frames. The low-light yellow silver mirror lens that comes with each colour option has a VLT of 56.
The lenses are hard-coated and scratch resistant and should repel water, oil and dirt effectively. Each set comes also with two nose pads for perfecting the fit.
“Our fourth collaboration with 100% brings a new lifestyle focussed colour palette to their most technically advanced Hypercraft sunglasses. Not only are they the best performance shades to wear on the bike, no doubt we’re going to be wearing these out of the saddle too”, said Misha Glisovic, MAAP’s Creative Director and CCO.
The limited collection of MAAP x 100% Hypercraft sunglasses are available online from 10 January via MAAP and 100% websites and through local MAAP dealers.
