Italian superbike brand, Ducati, launches the Futa All Road electric gravel bike

Unless your name is Tom Pidcock, riding a 150-mile day means the end of your week's riding. But gravel adventure riders who want to link a route that rolls through extraordinary geography with steep climbs know that a lightweight motor and battery system can tame those climbs and save your legs.
For the Futa All Road, Ducati’s product people have combined ‘sporty endurance’ geometry with a rear-hub motor, instead of the more conventional mid-drive motor configuration. The pedalling assistance flows from an FSA HM 1.0 hub motor, which is rated at 42Nm and 250W. It disengages at speeds beyond 25km/h, underscoring the Futa All Road’s efficiency-biased e-bike architecture.
Feeding energy into that FSA hub motor is a 250Wh integrated downtube battery pack, with the option of range similarly sized range extender batteries if you want to ride the most ambitious multiday mountain routes.
The Ducati Futa All Road’s carbon frame is finished with a SRAM build kit, featuring a wireless Rival eTap AXS 2x12 drivetrain, turning 172.5mm cranks. Vision AGX30 carbon wheels roll the Futa All Road along, shod with Vittoria Terreno Dry tyres, for a build weight of only 12.4k.
Balancing the need for loadability, grip and ride comfort, the Futa All Road has a 38mm width front tyre, trailed by a slightly narrower 35mm rear. Ducati believes this delivers the ideal compromise between rolling resistance, ride comfort and stability for those riders who will load up the Futa All Road for multiday rides.
Bike packing is something Ducati encourages with the Futa All Road. SKUAD weatherproof riding bags are supplied as part of the Ducati gravel e-bike, enhancing cargo capacity with a handlebar, frame and saddle bag.
If those red frame details and Ducati brand association appeal, the Futa All Road is available in S, M, L, and XL, priced at €7,690.
