Hunt unveils its latest E_All Mountain EMTB-specific wheelset
As the electric mountain bike market continues to develop, e-MTB-specific wheels are becoming a necessity in order to cope with the demands of the increased bike weight. Wheel brand Hunt has introduced its latest e-MTB-specific wheelset, the E_All Mountain which is built to suit mid- to full-power pedal-assisted bikes.

Hunt's latest wheelset is built using 6069-T6 extruded alloy and as a trademark of the brand's wheels, the rims are shot-peened with a black finish. It borrows the very same rim profile that is found on the Enduro Wide V2 wheelset and gets internal reinforcement at the shoulders with an aim to support the rim's sidewall under impacts.
After seasons of testing on the race circuit, a 31mm internal width was selected to do duty based largely on the improved braking performance and traction afforded by the wider rim.
Designed to balance lightweight and durability, each wheelset is hand-built with triple-butted Pillar spokes and attached to updated forged and CNCed 7075-T6 alloy hubs. These hubs get fat 17mm axles, dual-sealed REVO bearings, and Hunt's brand-new PhaseEngage e-MTB freehub system. This new freehub uses a 6 x 1 pawl system in order to boost reliability and service life, offering an 8-degree angle of engagement.
Hunt's E_All Mountain wheelset is available in Boost standard and with XD, HG, and Microspline freehubs and all wheel sizes. As for pricing, it'll set you back £479.
