Help refurbish Ashton Court's Nova trail with Ride Bristol
Ride Bristol, with help from Stif Mountain Bikes, is calling for help to refurbish Ashton Court's much-loved Nova trail in Bristol with free dig days taking place throughout November.
- The best mountain bike helmets you can buy for under £100
- 7 best mountain and gravel bike upgrades for less than £50
- The best mountain bike trail building tools: essential kit for maintenance and repair
Ashton Court's mountain bike trails welcome hundreds upon thousands of visitors a year, and they're revered for their welcoming nature for the newest of the new and even riders with a bit more experience under their belts. With such traffic, Nova has seen its fair share of wear and tear, with automated trail counters recording 150,000 laps of Beggar Bush between 2021 and 2022. Ride Bristol is calling for help as it comes time to give one of Bristol's most famous trails a bit of TLC.
And Ride Bristol isn't doing things half-heartedly as Velosolutions will be taking on the work with help from Ride Bristol volunteers. However, Stif Mountain Bike has donated £5,000 which is being matched by Ride Bristol, Plantforce is providing free-of-charge machinery and ETM is bringing free Type-1 stone to surface the trail. These two contributions are worth around £5,000 again, so that's another huge boost.
While the Velosolutions team and Ride Bristol volunteers will be working on a couple of other days to make this refurb happen, extra volunteers are needed to make the magic happen. So Ride Bristol is holding three dig days on the 10-12 November where the team will welcome any extra help.
These days will be split into morning and afternoon sessions which can be signed up for by clicking here.
