Endura's new MT500 full-face helmet claims to be lightest in class
If you're in the market for the protection of a full-face lid but don't want to boil your own head on climbs, then Endura's new MT500 full-facer is said to give no compromises on ventilation thanks to Koroyd protection, plus it claims to be the lightest lid in its class.

- Is it worth converting your mountain bike to tubeless?
The non-convertible lid is also certified to the highest mountain bike downhill standards - ASTM F1952, fact fans - and Koroyd makes some bold claims for just how much protection from impacts the straw-like structure offers too, saying that it "absorbs more impact force when tested and compared against traditional and emerging materials".
As you'd hope from an enduro focussed helmet, you also get all mod cons, such as goggle compatibility, one-handed adjustment of the retention system and antibacterial padding. At a claimed 640g, it's also really very light, even within the realm of enduro full-facers such as the Troy Lee Designs Stage and so forth.
Either way, Endura's enduro-ist, Enduro Cup and Maxiavalanche winner Denny Lupato has been impressed, saying: "We used the helmet during the race this weekend and wow, it’s amazing. It was really hot on Sunday but during the climb, it was not a problem because the light weight and the big air intakes make our transfer easier than ever and also during the stages you can breathe really well and push harder on the pedals."
There will be S/M, M/L and L/XL sizes on offer, with black and forest green colour schemes. It's priced at £190, which puts it in a similar ballpark to rivals as well. We'll be after one for a full review soon...
