The Mallet Trail is designed to excel during descending, ascending or anywhere in between.
Coming in three colours (black, champagne and purple), the Mallet Trail's platform has been sized to suit both trail and gravel riding. It employs a long spindle which results in a 57mm Q-factor which Crankbrothers says offers more shoe clearance and stability at speed.
As well as using the Traction Pad technology, that's made up of two polyurethane panels that allow for the adjustment of the pedal's contact with the shoe and something we've seen on Crankbrothers' pedals prior, the Mallet Trail gets two adjustable pins along the foremost edge.
Other known Crankbrothers features that make it onto the Mallet Trail come in the form of the famed four-sided entry mechanism. This allows for better mud clearance and customisable float and release angles as offered by the brand's range of cleats.
The pedal benefits from a double seal system that promises to boost the pedal's durability and rotates with the aid of Enduro cartridge bearings, as well as an IGUD LL-Glide bearing.
