Cane Creek has taken its well-known Air IL and Coil IL shocks and has boiled them down, resulting in a smaller and stronger package that's as a result said to fit in a wider range of frames.

The new shocks get everything that we've seen on previous models, such as the externally adjustable DB Twin Tube tech which Cane Creek says is the widest range of four-way damping adjustability available. The adjustments come in the form of the usual, high and low-speed compression, and high and low-speed rebound damping. And as before, there's a handy Climb Switch.

What's changed is the inner damper tube that has been thickened to boost its strength and there's been a 17mm reduction in the size of the valve body, helping it to fit on more frames. The Air IL features a 6mm reduction in the outer diameter of the air spring which further improves tight-space fitment while increasing maximum psi up to 350psi, up from 300.

As for the Coil IL, the valve body size has been reduced, as well, but along with that, it gets new indents on the preload collar for more precise preload tuning.

Each shock is hand assembled and dyno-tested at the brand's Western North Carolina facility. They are available in trunnion and eyelet mounting options. 

The Air IL will set you back £690 and the Coil AL is priced at £600.
