- The best mountain bikes for under £1,000 - the best budget buys ridden and rated
- Is it worth converting your mountain bike to tubeless?
- How to choose the best dropper post for your mountain bike
The race is one of six that make up the new British National Enduro Series, which has been formed by a number of regional race organisers joining forces to create the British Enduro Mountain Bike Association (BEMBA) in the absence of a national governing body.
The Afan round kicks things off with practice on Saturday followed by racing on the five stages on Sunday - though e-MTB riders also get a sixth e-bike only stage to take on. The event village will be at Bryn Bettws Lodge, with sign-on starting from 5-6pm on Friday 12th and 8am-6.30pm on Saturday 13th.
Practice for the BNES racers will be on Saturday at the following times:
- Stage 1: 09:15 – 17:00
- Stage 4: 08:30-17:00
- Stages 2, 3, 5, 6e: 08:30 – 11:25 & 15:35 – 17:00
Stages 2, 3, 5, 6e will be closed for the Welsh Gravity Enduro Mash Up race from 11:25-15:35, only Mash Up competitors can access these stages during this time period.
Our Jon will be racing - or doing his best to - so we'll see you there...
