Bonkers savings on like-new e-MTBs from Privateer
Privateer has had its e-mountain bike, the E161 on sale for quite a while already but now the brand is offering up to £3,900 off the original £6,499 price tag on its 'nearly new' E161 e-bikes.

The E161 needs no introduction. It's an e-MTB that takes the Privateer ethos of good value performance and throws Shimano's EP801 motor into the mix. It's an alloy-framed bike that benefits from 85Nm of torque and a 630Wh battery.
Its geometry is as progressive as you would expect from the UK brand as it gets a 64-degree head tube angle, a 79-degree effective (and actual) seat tube angle, and size-specific chainstays ranging from 446mm up to 466mm. A P3 frame, equivalent to a large, comes with a 490mm reach.
As for the specification, it's top-notch stuff but without being unnecessarily blingy. Damping 170mm of travel at the front is a Fox 38 Performance Elite fork and the rear 161mm of travel is sorted thanks to a Fox X2 Performance Elite.
The bike gets a pair of Hayes Dominion A4 brakes, a Shimano SLX 12-speed drivetrain and Hunt E All-Mountain wheels in a mullet configuration. Those are wrapped with a Maxxis Assegai Maxx Grip up front paired with a Maxxis DHR II Maxx Grip at the rear, both of which get DH casings.
There is only one build kit available but in this 'nearly new' sale, Privateer is offering the bike in three grades in all sizes. Grade A bikes are said to come with minor cosmetic marks from transit and may have had a test ride at a show or by the media. All parts are original unless stated otherwise.
Grade B bikes match Grade A but they'll have seen more use at shows, by a customer or the media.
Grade C bikes have a higher mileage and more wear and tear. Some parts will have been replaced if deemed necessary but the brand will keep the spec as close to the factory as possible.
As for prices, Grade A bikes can be picked up for £3,899.40, Grade B is £3,249.50 and Grade C can be bought for £2,599.61 posing a saving of £3,899.39.
